Lyn is 71, and she had people laughing before she even reached the Britain’s Got Talent stage. Backstage, the presenter could not get her name right, trying LYNNE, LY-NN and almost every other spelling while she kept patiently repeating that it is simply L, Y, N.
On stage, she told the judges her age and the crowd cheered straight away. Then she stood alone with the microphone and sang Amazing Grace with no music behind her at all. Her voice was strong, clear and steady from the very first line. 🎶
Amanda Holden was all smiles, Simon Cowell looked visibly surprised, and the audience cheered all the way through the song.
Back in the wings, the presenter tried once more to celebrate by spelling her name, and of course he got it wrong again. Lyn came off the stage ecstatic, proving that a great voice has no age limit. ❤️
