Dean Wilson came to Britain’s Got Talent as a singer and dancer who believed he had what it takes to win. He chose a dramatic song from a musical, but only a few lines in, Simon Cowell stopped him and said he hated the song.
Simon asked if he had anything more popular, but Dean had not brought any other tracks. Instead of giving up, he started the same song again, and this time he poured every bit of feeling into it until the whole theatre was hanging on each word. 🎶
Piers Morgan called it an absolute tour de force. Amanda Holden praised the passion and hunger she could see in him, and how he stayed ready to do anything even after being stopped. Simon admitted he had rarely seen such conviction and commitment and said it was probably the best audition so far.
Dean walked away with three yeses, proving that sometimes the best answer to a no is to try again. ❤️
