Monica Michael, a 25-year-old youth worker from North London, had already been on The X Factor once. The year before she reached the six chair challenge, but there was no seat for her, and she left the stage feeling devastated.
She came back to show the kids she works with that you keep going when you fail. Singing Christina Aguilera’s Impossible, she looked the judges in the eye and delivered every line with calm, real emotion. 🎶
The judges were full of praise. One compared her cool, honest style to Adele and Amy Winehouse, another admitted they made a big mistake with her last year, and Monica was told she was the biggest regret of the category.
Four yeses followed. She had been knocked down, and she came back stronger, exactly like she always tells the kids to do. ❤️
