Chris Turner is 35, comes from Manchester, England, and had just become an American citizen when he walked onto the America’s Got Talent stage. He admitted he was nervous, then explained that he makes up raps on the spot from random suggestions.
The panel did not make it easy. They gave him meat empanadas, sparkly pants, Howie’s belly button, Simon’s ripe and juicy papayas and, from host Terry Crews, quantum physics. Then the DJ dropped the beat and Chris wove every single one into a fast, funny rap 🎶
The crowd loved every line. The judges said they had never had anyone do that on the stage in the show’s 20th season, and they praised how clever and articulate he was under pressure.
Then came the votes, and it was yes after yes, with one judge calling it an absolute no-brainer. Chris left the stage with four yeses and a huge smile ❤️
