A 10-Year-Old Boy Picked a Soul Classic Most Adults Avoid, Then Broke Down in Tears

Young singer Calum Courtney

Calum Courtney was only 10 when he walked onto the Britain’s Got Talent stage. His dad, his little brother, two friends and most of his family came to support him, and when the judges asked if he was nervous, he simply said no.

Then he sang “Who’s Lovin’ You”, a big soul song that many adult singers would never risk. His voice was warm and controlled, and the whole theater was on its feet before he finished 🎶

Calum burst into tears as the crowd kept cheering. David called it a big song for such a little guy, Amanda said it was one of the biggest reactions they had ever seen, and Alesha told him he has soul and a truly authentic voice.

Every judge said yes, and David joked that the audience had given him thousands more. It was the start of a journey that later saw Calum sing “Isn’t She Lovely” for his mum ❤️
