Like many people, she reached into her bathroom cabinet for what she assumed was her usual feminine deodorant spray and gave herself a light spritz before leaving the house.
The drive to the clinic felt completely normal.
At the office, she checked in, changed into the gown, and waited calmly for the exam. The nurse got everything ready, and shortly after, the doctor began the routine pelvic check.
He looked down… paused for a moment… then broke into a small grin.
“Well,” he said jokingly, “someone’s feeling extra glamorous today.”
Her heart nearly stopped.
In that instant, she realized what had happened. In her rush, she hadn’t grabbed her feminine spray at all. Without checking the label, she had accidentally used her daughter’s glitter hairspray instead.
And there she was, lying under the bright examination lights, sparkling far more than intended — and her doctor had clearly noticed.
