Kenadie was born with a rare kind of dwarfism that has only been found in less than 100 people worldwide.
Weight at birth: little under one kilogram. The condition affects the entire body and is characterized by underdeveloped lungs, a high risk of developmental delays, and a very short life expectancy, often only a few hours.
Kenadie’s parents made the tough but necessary decision to baptize her and bring her home after realizing how dire the situation was, allowing her to spend her final moments with loved ones rather than medical apparatus.
But fate had different plans.
Fourteen years have passed. From a defenseless infant to a confident, energetic teenager, she has shown that anything is possible.
She lives a full life, makes the world a brighter place, attends school, enjoys every day, and makes friends.
