The mansion was constructed about 130 years ago, but it had been abandoned for many years before they bought it. It is amazing what they did with it! This is how it looks at the moment.
Built in 1887, this house seemed like it would collapse at any time, making it dangerous to even enter. When residents Jim and Jean Leaman joined the picture, everything changed, even though they hadn’t given buying this big ruin any thought. After seeing the house’s condition degrade over time, the retired couple chose to purchase it because they were enamored with its historic architecture.
After working on the property day in and day out for five years, they were able to turn the ruin into a beautiful place that we can all call home.
The transformation is really astounding! But wait to see what’s inside.

But after restoration, it looked like this.
Inside, you won’t be able to breathe. It appears to have been lifted from a Harry Potter movie.
The floors are made of five different types of wood, and a rainbow of hues can be seen through the stained glass panels.
Each of the five bedrooms on the second floor has a unique style and aesthetic appeal.
But this small attic area would be perfect for a workstation.
Considering how it seemed and what he said it was, it’s hard to believe.
He eventually transformed the ruin into a cozy home, but it took a lot of work, money, and time.
