The store employee deeply regretted her actions minutes after hurting a stray cat 
It was a typical evening in a small grocery store on a busy street corner. A skinny cat with dull fur and soft eyes that were constantly worried sat in front of the entrance.
Every now and then she would get up and rub her paws against people’s legs. She was already famous since so many people regularly fed her. While some left a piece of sausage, others left a slice of bread.
Three hungry kittens were waiting for her in a nearby abandoned shed, so the cat cautiously ate the food—but not for herself. Because she treasured their lives more than her own, she carried every piece to them.
Customers’ attention was drawn to the cat that day when it arrived a bit earlier than normal and started meowing pitifully. A couple regular customers threw her a sausage, which she skillfully picked up. As she hurried to feed the kittens without eating herself, people watched her with affection. Everyone seemed to feel terrible for the poor mother, with the exception of one individual.
Because she believed that stray animals detracted from the store’s aesthetics and turned off customers, the old shop assistant, who had recently started working there, was frequently angry and agitated. When she saw the cat return for more food, she merely snorted in disdain.
“Here again?,” she growled, clenching her teeth.”
And as the cat got close, the woman kicked it without thinking. The cat meowed sorrowfully and ran away. But afterwards, the shop assistant was deeply sorry for what she had done.
At the same time, a nearby girl noticed everything. She fed this cat often and wanted to adopt one of the kittens. She became surprised and jerked out her phone to capture everything on tape.
“How can you not be ashamed!” she shouted at the store clerk.However, the woman just angrily waved her away.
The girl knew the video would disclose much more, so she didn’t argue. After posting the video on social media, she added the following brief text:
Instead of asking for food for herself, this cat asks for food for her young. She was kicked today rather than receiving treatment. Be honest with everyone.
The post rapidly went viral among city groups. In their angry remarks, people called for the shop employee to be disciplined.
To preserve the store’s reputation, the owner promptly decided to fire the employee that same day after learning about the dispute.
How about the cat? Interestingly, her story ended happily. Many people wanted to help after watching the video; some gave food, some paid for the vet’s care, and one family even took her and the kittens home.
Now that she had a place to stay, she didn’t have to beg for food or dread the cruelty of people. Tamara also learned a lesson that will last a lifetime: cruelty and indifference always have a price.
