A Boy at My Door: A Heartwarming Meeting
On a cool autumn evening, I heard a soft knock at my front door.When I opened it, I saw a young, emaciated lad standing in front of me with doubtful eyes and tattered clothing. It looked like he was about eight years old. “Can I have some water?” he asked in a calm voice.
I nodded and led the way inside. As he sipped, I looked at him anxiously. “What’s your name? Your folks are where? I asked courteously. His response sent shivers down my spine.․․
