“I’ll bring you before the judge! Your dog attacked one of my children! It turned out that my dog was innocent despite the woman’s yelling.
“I’ll bring you before the judge! With her face twisted in anger, the woman spat out, “Your dog attacked my child!” and rushed into the yard. She was holding a sobbing six-year-old child who was holding her hand to her stomach, which had a visible scratch on it.
I became icy. My dog, Rocky, was swinging his tail and sat calmly next to the flowerbed. He was smart, calm, and had never even growled at anyone in the whole five years that we had known him. These accusations are now being leveled at him. The woman screamed as if we had a rogue animal in our home. She had previously called the police and demanded that the “mad dog” be put down immediately.
Even though I was shivering, I tried to talk calmly:
My dog could not have hurt anyone. He is calm and loves children. Maybe your daughter is to blame. If you don’t believe me, there is a camera in our yard. Are you interested in seeing what happened?
The police agreed. We stepped inside; the camera, mounted just above the door, recorded the whole yard and the scene of the incident.
We started the video.
Rocky is watching the sparrows from the seat there. A few seconds later, the mother and daughter come into the yard.
The girl approaches the dog. When we slowed down the video, we were horrified by what we saw. My canine friend…
Something is in the girl’s hand. What is it? Something shining
A stun gun was the weapon. The officers exchanged glances.
The girl approaches Rocky, holds out her hand, and then clicks, as shown in the video. The dog jumps up, screams, and runs away. The girl jumps back and falls to the ground. The scrape was probably from the fall or a shrub.
The girl’s mother turned pale upon witnessing this.
“This cannot be done,” she said. She does not own this.
A police officer looked at her.
The child got a stun gun from where?
The woman sat down on the floor.
It is my husband’s property. In the car, he kept it. She probably took it without question.
We sat in silence. Rocky walked quietly into the house, as if he wanted to see how things were going.
What these morons made my poor pet put up with!
