Simon Wasn’t Ready for a Voice Like This at 77! Watch the most incredible performance

The age range of the performers on “Britain’s Got Talent” is quite broad. BGT possesses many unexpected abilities, from young children to elderly people. Another outstanding illustration is Mel Day. He is a 77-year-old singer attempting to perform “Land of 1,000 Dances,” a classic Wilson Pickett tune.

Mel’s sense of style is incredible. He wore a burgundy suit and a purple shirt and vest. As soon as the song begins, he begins to move and dance. The crowd immediately rises and begins to dance.

Ant and Dec, the BGT hosts, are having a good time backstage by imitating the horn hits of the song. Mel is a natural performer who feels at ease on stage and has a deep, powerful voice.

Judge Alesha Dixon tells Mel, “When you have a soul like that, it will never leave you.” Mel answers, “I’ve got a lot more to give, darling.” David Walliams, the judge, declares, “I want your baby.” The audience bursts out laughing.

Simon Cowell, becoming increasingly serious, says, “Sorry, you don’t just go on this stage at 77 and sing like that.” You must have dreamed of becoming a singer when you were younger. Mel informs him that he has been let down several times.

Simon responds, “Well, you know what, time is key,” and the judges begin to cast their ballots. Everyone says “yes,” and Simon’s role is to make it more dramatic.

He tells Mel, “I’m going to make it 4,000 and four yeses because I think we have about 4,000 people here.” Mel is glowing with joy as everyone cheers. He had been waiting for this day all his life.
