A woman posted a video to TikTok and asked viewers to guess her age. However, she described the reactions she received as “wild,” and nothing could have prepared her for them.

After posting a video of herself without makeup or social media filters, Emily Jane challenged people to guess her age. Some thought she was in her sixties, while others thought she was in her forties or fifties, which shocked her!

“You must be almost 47 years old, as I am 56,” said one person.

Someone else remarked, “I think you’re about 51. I’m 42.”

“I’m 29 and she’s a really attractive 42,” someone wrote on social media.

The top answer for Emily was provided by a commenter who assumed she was 58 years old.

“Do I look like I’m almost sixty years old? Like I’m getting close to retirement age? She asked, “Do I really look that old?” in a different video.

Many others, of course, thought she was in her thirties, and others thought she was still in her twenties. There was a wide range of guesses.

However, Emily eventually came out about her age after being surprised by others who thought she was so old.

“I turned 36 last week, so I’m only 36,” she said.

She is also fully aware that the fact that she no longer colors her naturally gray hair is the reason why people think she is older.

For a very long time, my hair has been naturally gray. “I started going grey around the age of 19, and people assume that I’m over 50 because I have grey hair,” she said in her video.

Despite having grey hair, she said she was shocked that people were presuming she was older.

She stated in the original video that her eyebags were caused by the sleepless nights she had after giving birth to a baby. She claimed that she didn’t use any filters or cosmetics, which might have stopped some people, but she felt that she looked very natural.

I’ve never had a task done for me. I think most individuals in my age group would look like this if they didn’t wear a filter, and this is my face and how I look,” she remarked.

She made the hypothesis in her film that people’s presumptions about her age were less affected by her and more by the way social media has shaped people’s views of women.

According to her, most people today don’t know what a woman genuinely looks like because social media promotes cosmetic treatments and the use of filters to alter features.

“I think it’s important to remember that what you see on TV, social media, or magazines—and what people have been saying for years—isn’t always accurate. “What are your thoughts?” she asked.

“Do you think we have a warped perception of age based on what we’ve been exposed to on social media?” she asked her audience.

Some, on the other hand, disagreed, saying that the only thing aging her was her grey hair.

36 is getting close to 60. “Your hair probably ages you, but you are still very gorgeous,” one reader said.

It seems to me that you look your age. I think a lot of people think that white hair just shows up as we become older. “They can’t get past it,” said another.

Your hair is the only thing that ages you. Someone remarked, “You have gorgeous skin.”
Another said, “I think people get confused when a younger person feels comfortable growing out their gray hair.”

At any rate, Emily Jane appeared to be happy with her life as it was! Share this tale with others and challenge them to guess her age accurately!
