Following a medical emergency, beloved carpenter Ty Pennington had to be intubated…

Only a few hours after attending the Barbie premiere, Ty Pennington was taken to the hospital and intubated. He is currently providing his admirers with health updates.

On July 14, Pennington, who is famous for his role as the carpenter on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, posted images of himself on Instagram while dressed in a hospital gown.

Following an intubation, Pennington lost consciousness before he was able to regain it. “This week has been amazing, from the red carpet to the intensive care unit!”

“Although I’m still getting better, I thought it was odd that I hadn’t shared my team’s #BOTB VICTORY!” Then Pennington addressed his supporters. @smashingdiy and @iamstevelewis have my utmost admiration!

Pennington went on to describe the events that followed. “To explain why I vanished… On Sunday, I walked the red carpet at Barbie the Movie. On Monday, I began filming in Breckinridge, Colorado. On Tuesday, I woke up at about four in the morning, scarcely breathing. The painful throat I’ve had for the previous month turns out to be an abscess that has gotten so big that it’s obstructing my airway. After being intubated, I was sent to the intensive care unit in Denver.

“I had surgery on Wednesday and was discharged from the intensive care unit yesterday afternoon,” the patient said. I would want to express my gratitude to Summit Health in Frisco and St. Anthony’s in Lakewood, Colorado, for the excellent medical care I received. The words “Just happy to be here,” which Pennington wrote under the hashtag, serve as a wonderful reminder to pay attention to your body’s signals.

How terrible! Hearing that Pennington is doing well and that his recovery is proceeding smoothly fills us with joy.
