A 21-year-old woman called Shelby Hennick caught the attention of people all around the world with her gesture. She receives recognition for the deed of kindness she did for her sick grandmother.
Shelby Hennick’s grandmother was critically ill in the ICU due to lung problems. She was conscious, but she was uncomfortable, and she wasn’t feeling well. However, the one thing that kept her fighting the disease was how much she missed her puppy, Patsy.
Since dogs were not allowed in the hospital where she was being treated, she was quite taken aback and distressed.
At that point, a brilliant and original concept was devised for her niece.
Shelby wrapped the puppy in a blanket after bringing him from her grandmother’s place. The dog initially felt very nervous, but the car ride helped him relax and sit quietly under the cover. Being a veterinarian, Shelby was adept at soothing the puppy.
Carrying Patsy in a blanket, Shelby entered the hospital with assurance. Everyone thought there was a baby behind the blanket, not a hidden dog.
The grandmother was astounded when her niece entered the room. She had no idea what might be there, not even a clue. However, Grandma was rendered speechless by her delight at seeing her beautiful dog once more as Shelby removed the cover. She only needed it.
Another person claimed to have done the same for his grandfather after their story was posted on Facebook.
