Sadly, Top Chef star Naomi Pomeroy, who was renowned for her culinary prowess, has passed away.
A few days after the Portland chef went missing, his body was found in a river on July 17. The Benton County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that she drowned to death.
Pomeroy, her husband Kyle Linden Webster, and a friend were found tied up in tubes and a paddleboard that was attached, per the inquiry.
Members of the Corvallis Fire Department successfully retrieved the other two people off the coast and transported them to a boat launch. Sadly, Pomeroy was not originally located, according to the sheriff’s office.
When Naomi vanished, Sheriff Van Arsdall proclaimed, “This office is dedicated to locating Naomi and bringing her home to her family and loved ones.” I would want to thank everyone who has contributed to the search and rescue effort at this difficult period.
Her body was eventually found after several canoeists discovered it. Authorities assert that she was unable to free herself due to the paddle board leash.
In 2013, she and her spouse founded the Expatriate cocktail bar in Portland. The following year, she was honored with the James Beard Award for Best Chef: Northwest and Pacific.
Pomeroy has appeared on Iron Chef and Top Chef Masters in addition to serving as a guest judge on Top Chef in seasons 10, 15, and 18.
After learning of Naomi Pomeroy’s loss, the show and its network, Bravo, released a statement on X expressing their condolences.

She is sleeping in peace.
