German shepherd was left to die in canyon with mouth zip-tied shut — hikers rescue him

Two hikers were surprised by a sad German shepherd on the trail that had its mouth glued shut with a zip tie. Now that the dog is in capable hands, the authorities are tracking out its owner.

While exploring a desolate area near Malibu Creek Canyon on July 3, two rock climbers came upon a distressing sight: a sad 7-year-old German shepherd with his snout sealed shut with a zip tie.

Before pausing to help the dog and taking off the zip tie, they took the time to gain his trust. The dog became more comfortable with them as they fed him and opened his lips.

Regarding the dog, hiker Jonathan Manaoat remarked, “He is such a sweet dog.” He let my friend and I to pet him, and he even licked some food off our hands.

They were shocked to learn that the dog had been abused. Manaoat stated to the newspaper, “This was done on purpose.” They left him down a hill in the middle of nowhere, at the side of the road. They left him there in pain. They left him behind, believing him to be dead.

The dog might have gotten into contact with poison oak in addition to having inflammation and warts all over his body.

The dog was taken to the Palmdale Animal Care Center for treatment by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies following receipt of a report. He was then turned over to Los Angeles County Animal Care & Control’s Agoura Animal Center.

The dog, named Argon, is undergoing tests to rule out lymphoma, according to a press release from In Defense of Animals. Notwithstanding everything, Argon has always been a loving and compassionate dog.

While the identity of the person who bound Argon’s muzzle and left him in the middle of nowhere on that hot summer day remains a mystery, animal organizations have united to provide a substantial reward to anyone who can provide information about the crime.

A $12,000 prize for information is being offered by Hollywood producer Marc Gurvitz, In Defense of Animals, and Peace 4 Animals, according to the news release. Anyone with information on this case is kindly asked to contact 415-879-6879.

Director of Communications for In Defense of Animals Fleur Dawes said, “We need to keep up our efforts, even though we appreciate the prompt actions taken by these hikers and law enforcement.” “Argon was left to suffer and die in a remote place. We beg anyone with information about this egregious act to come forward. Since the perpetrators of this horrific violence represent a threat to others, we are dedicated to finding them and prosecuting them.

It is disgusting and inhumane to abandon an innocent German Shepherd in the blazing heat with his mouth tied over the July 4th weekend. The guilty party must be found as quickly as feasible and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. You can rely on the administration of justice. said Katie Cleary, the founder of Peace 4 Animals and World Animal News.
