This famous person grew up at a time of war. Still too young, though, she could hardly remember what had happened before the war. Her education was impacted, but she went on to become one of the most recognizable celebrities.
This well-known person was born on May 23, 1933, in London, England. She is the oldest child of talent agent Joseph and former nightclub hostess Elsa.
Two further children were born to Elsa, a native of Britain, and her South African husband, Joseph: Jackie in 1937 and Bill in 1946. The family was alive during the Second World War.
Together with other Londoners, they took refuge at Tube stations from German bombs that were being detonated around the city. In May 2020, this girl remembered those moments.

Her education suffered as a result of her family’s inability to settle down. This celebrity acknowledged that it was a difficult time for her. It was made simpler, though, because she and her sibling were lucky enough to have their mother with them.
She said that she and her loved ones had slept underground, saying, “We visited the one at Marble Arch the most. There was a lot of merriment as folks sang and played accordions.
The girl who slept in the underground—who is she?
The girl who was evacuated is English actress Joan Collins, who rose to fame when she costarred with Linda Evans in the drama series “Dynasty” in 1981.

Collins said in an interview from October 2013 that her grandmother had inspired her to pursue acting by teaching her how to sing, tap dance, and do splits. Her father, however, dissuaded her from pursuing a career in acting, claiming that by the time she turned 23, she would be out of style in the business. She obviously exceeded everyone’s expectations.

Although Collins’ career has prospered over the years, the same cannot be said of her romantic life. The celebrity and the 23-year-old actor Warren Beatty were previously engaged, and at age 26, she became pregnant with his child.
However, he advised her to end the pregnancy because he thought it would damage their jobs. Years later, the now mother of three confirmed he was correct, despite her initial reluctance.

Collins went on to get married four times, but she and Beatty never got hitched. Since February 2002, she has been wed to actor Percy Gibson, her fifth husband.
A month after the couple exchanged vows, Collins enthused, “Percy is the most honorable man I’ve ever met.” He made her alter her mind, even though she didn’t want to get married again.

He was a producer and she was in a play when they first met in New York City in 2000. When she was in her 60s and he was in his 30s, they started a passionate relationship. The pair was never troubled by their age gap.
Gibson, Collins’ longtime spouse, is currently 58 years old, while Collins is 90 years old. The native of Peru is 32 years younger than his wife, who has won a Golden Globe.
