The daytime soap opera “One Life to Live” star Andrea Evans is well recognized for her portrayal as Tina Lord. “Passions,” “DeVanity,” “Low Down Dirty Shame,” “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “The Bay,” “Ice Cream Man,” and “Hit List” are a few more noteworthy credits.
At the age of 66, Evans tragically passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023. Her cause of death was listed as breast cancer on IMDb. Nick Leicht, her manager, said to the public, “I’ve been working with Andrea for the past seven years.” She was a true pleasure to work with and has such amazing talent.
Many of Evans’s well-known friends and former costars posted heartfelt tributes after learning of her passing. Former executive producer of “One Life to Live,” Frank Valentini, tweeted, “I am deeply sorry to hear about Andrea Evans’ passing.” When my career at OLTL started, Andrea was already a tremendous star. She was always a pleasure to work with and very kind and nice. A legend of the day who will be sorely missed. My condolences go out to her family and friends.
“I’m very sorry to hear of the passing of this talented actress,” posted Kassie DePavia on Facebook. She contributed to OLTL’s public awareness. Cancer is awful!
On Facebook, actor Eric Martsolf also posted, “We lost Andrea Evans.” She demonstrated to me that working during the day doesn’t have to seem like labor at all, and she was really responsible. She seemed to smile all the time, and I shall miss the brightness in her eyes. Thank you for everything, Andrea, and may you rest in peace.
Evans joined “One Life to Live” in 1979 and played Tina until her dramatic departure in the 1990s. She was one of the most often asked-for characters to make a comeback to the show, and in 2008, she fulfilled that wish. Stephen Rodriguez, Evans’ second husband, whom she wed in 1998, is still alive. Kylie, her daughter, is also living.
