Everybody has a different narrative about how they met, but the tale of young Alyssa and Max is the most distinctive. The teenage girl had no idea what would happen over the next two weeks, much less that she would meet someone online.

When Alyssa Jane, 19, was 25 weeks pregnant, she made the decision to explore the world of online dating. They instantly clicked once she met Max on Tinder. When things started to get serious, Max was a relaxed 25-year-old.
Regarding her choice to come out as pregnant so soon, she explains, “I was being open and honest because I didn’t want to lead anyone on.” She told me, “I wanted them to know what they were getting into right away.” “Usually, I wouldn’t go straight for a pregnant girl, but there was something about her,” Max clarified.
After a successful first date, they were rapidly setting up the next one. After their third date, Max had to leave town, so they decided to have their fourth date when he got back, with Alyssa picking him up from the airport.
That’s when things started to go a little crazy. Before their fourth date, Alyssa went to the doctor and found out she was in labor that her water had broken. The teenager made a few tough decisions.
She texted Max, she told me. He responded right away, saying, “Okay, the second I get home, I’m going to unpack and I’m going to come visit you.” “I texted him and said I’m so sorry you’re going to have to find your own way home, I am stuck at the hospital, my waters have broken.”
She went on to explain what happened next. All the while, Max was by her side! “Max continued to stay with me for the entire week that I had contractions and every time I thought I was in labor he would bring me into the hospital and drive me back home — he took the whole week off work to stay with me,” she added. “My mum happened to be away on holiday.”
When Alyssa developed an illness at 35 weeks, doctors told her that she would need to induce labor right away. In the hospital with her were Max, her best friend, and her mother.
Max proved to be a rock by staying at her side the entire time. “Well, sure, I want him as a support person, but what if we end up breaking up in a week’s time?” she said, feeling a little uneasy about being alone herself.
Remarkably, Max accepted his role as the child’s father figure. Even throughout Ollie’s brief stay in the NICU after his premature birth, Max remained by Alyssa’s side the entire time. He was allowed to remain in the maternity unit because medical staff mistaken him for the father due to his consistent attendance. Alyssa recalled, “When they did call him Dad, he didn’t object; he just went along with it.”
How devoted he was to Alyssa and her child was evident in his wish to be called “Dad” in the hospital. Even after Alyssa was released from the hospital, Max took a week off work to help with the newborn’s care. He stayed by Alyssa’s side, helping her adjust to motherhood!
Now, the couple is engaged to be married! In addition, the couple recently welcomed a young girl named Autumn into their home.
