Medical personnel recognized they were dealing with a special case as soon as little Armani Milby was born in Kentucky.
When she was delivered by emergency C-section at 33 weeks, her arms, chest, and part of her neck appeared to be gigantic, as if something were growing beneath the skin.
After that, experts diagnosed her with lymphangioma, a rare congenital disorder that affects the lymphatic system. This condition prevents normal fluid outflow, which results in severe swelling and lymph-filled cysts.
From the start, Armani fought for her life. Doctors informed the baby’s mother, Chelsea, that the baby’s chances were poor because of her breathing difficulties, the strain on her little heart, and the high possibility of fatal infections.
Every day felt like a well-earned victory as she spent many weeks in the hospital with medical equipment.

The “mini Hulk” that the media depicts is very different from Armani’s current appearance. Her facial characteristics have evened out, the swelling has significantly reduced, and her hands now have a much more natural shape.

Her story has come to symbolize the incredible strength of a small frame. Although Armani’s prognosis is much better than doctors had predicted, she still needs regular treatments and medical supervision.
