On Monday night, May 5, Kim Kardashian nearly went viral for all the wrong reasons after shooting daggers at a security guard prior to the Met Gala.
Kardashian’s long black leather bodycon dress and enormous fedora, designed by Chrome Hearts and embellished with numerous diamond necklaces and earrings, caught people’s attention.
The outfit honored the zoot suits worn by Black men in the 1930s and 1940s, which was in line with this year’s Met Gala theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, which focused on the influence of Black fashion and identity, especially in menswear.
The reality star was captured on tape performing a slow-motion, movie-style strut when she and her daughter, North West, were traveling to the fashion event. However, a security guard’s misplaced step nearly brought her down.
In typical diva anger, Kardashian spun around, made a caustic comment, and flung up a hand when his foot touched her dress.
She quickly recovered and threw her hair in her signature way before making her way to the automobile.
After the moment was quickly uploaded to TikTok, users didn’t think twice about leaving comments. “For me, it’s the hair flick,” someone said.
“Dude, don’t ruin this for me.” Another stated, “Someone nearly caused her to fall.” She looks amazing!
Several viewers deduced that 11-year-old North didn’t seem thrilled to be there based on her face, despite the fact that she had posted TikToks of herself and her mother earlier in the evening, dressed stylishly of her own. (However, she did not attend the real Met Gala, which requires guests to be at least eighteen.)
Kim’s slight misstep rocked the moment, yet her stare was still strong.
