Steve Harvey has had a rough few weeks ever since his wife Marjorie began spreading accusations about him being unfaithful on the internet.
Startling reports that appeared in late August claimed that Marjorie Harvey had an adulterous connection with her famed husband, with the couple’s chef and bodyguard as the objects of this liaison. According to the allegations, Harvey then went sought a $200 million divorce settlement.
It is anyone’s guess as to where the adultery claims began, even if no official party went on record to confirm them. Harvey and his spouse, however, moved quickly to refute the rumors.
Days after the allegations first surfaced, Harvey said, “I’m fine,” when giving a speech at Atlanta’s Invest Fest. Marjorie is doing fine. I don’t know what you people are doing, but go do something else; we’ll be OK. Lord, please have mercy.
The TV host went on, “There are times when you want to respond, but I don’t have time for gossip and rumors.” “I’ve had kindness from God.” I still have radiance.
Marjorie, who has been married to Steve since 2007, attempted to set the record straight on Instagram by writing, “My husband and I don’t usually stop to address all the foolishness and lies that have been spread about us.”
However, greatness entails immense responsibility. I understand that due of my platform, I have some responsibility to those who may not be as powerful as we are.
However, it appears that some individuals are still not persuaded despite the Harveys’ strong denials and their shared stance that there hasn’t been adultery.
That’s presumably the reason Steve hurried to say, “You’re not going to split us up,” dismissing the hurtful accusations as meaningless banter. He repeated again, only this time using more power.
The 66-year-old said this week on The Steve Harvey Morning Show, “This woman got in the hole and built this with me.” She didn’t steal anything! I’m sick and tired of you guys boasting about my girl because she’s one of the best women I’ve ever met.
“We’ve knitted our two-handed circle more firmly. Thank you for spending the time to do that. You will not split us! She is not at all what you claimed, and we are not leaving. She’s the kindest woman I know. You can respond to the fact that I am now defending her in any way you choose.
In a conversation that was leaked and disclosed specifics about the partnership, Steve’s co-host Shirley Strawberry said that Harvey was “scared” of Marjorie.
Later, Strawberry was forced to apologize to the Harveys in a social media video.
“I wasn’t trying to make things more difficult for you and Marjorie than they already are. But with the release of these films, it seems like everyone is after you, even me, she said.
The tapes, however, have nothing to do with your connection with Marjorie. I was just talking endlessly in what I thought was a private exchange. I apologize. I’m in excruciating pain.
