After having octuplets in 2009, Nadya Suleman became well-known throughout the world as “Octomom.” Nadya had already given birth to six children before giving birth to the first set of surviving octuplets.
Nadya, who was unemployed when she gave birth to her octuplets, suffered financially and tried a variety of ways to support her large family. She experimented with unusual methods, such as posing for pictures in her underwear, working temporarily in adult entertainment, watching celebrity box matches, and attempting to patent the moniker “Octomom” for commercial gain.Although many questioned her decisions and motivations, in the end, everyone respected her attempts to provide for her huge family.Nadya made the decision to leave the spotlight as of 2013.In 2016, Suleman told People, “There was definitely a catalyst—my girls, particularly my oldest daughter Amerah.” “At the age of ten, she began incorporating my characteristics and actions.”She went on, “I realized at that point I’d rather be homeless in my van with all 14 kids than continue down this path after I had watched my daughter start to copy me and saw her going down the same possibly destructive path. It was not my ideal scenario for my kids.This year marked the 15th birthday of the octuplets, Noah, Maliyah, Isaiah, Nariyah, Jeremiah, Jonah, Josiah, and Makai. In celebration of the milestone, their wonderful mother shared a sweet photo of the siblings on their first birthday.Although Nadya rarely updates her postings, she does occasionally share images of her kids.The mother said, “Feel proud of yourselves, children, for being kind, respectful, and helpful to your classmates, teachers, and school staff,” as she proudly shared a picture of her octuplets with the eighth graders. She said her teenagers set a great example for students in the sixth and seventh grades.She tweeted, “I love you,” with a single red heart emoji, and concluded with a “side note to critics.””On their first day, their elder siblings did not want me to upload a picture. I honor their decision, and you ought to too,” she stated.Nadya sent a tribute to her octuplets on Instagram last year to mark their transition into teenagers.”I have never met any kindlier, more kind, appreciative, or loving people than you all are becoming. At that time, she wrote, “Each of you has exceptional qualities that set you apart from other kids your age, especially in today’s world.”Unselfish, compassionate, humble, and affectionate, reverent, devoted to God,” is how she described her kids. “I have never seen children who care and want to help others, especially those who are less fortunate, as boldly and confidently as all of you do,” the woman continued.”You are followers of God, who created you and loves you without conditions, not of this superficial world.
