Hong Kong native Celine Tam, then nine years old, astounded viewers in 2017 when she tried out for season 12 of America’s Got Talent. When she sang Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On,” her incredible vocal ability astounded judge Simon Cowell, who had previously misjudged her based just on appearance. Even though My Heart Will Go On is difficult for many adults to listen to, Celine, who was named after her idol, enthralled viewers with her strong, emotive voice.

Her audition video was among the top 15 viral videos in America’s Got Talent history and soon became the most viewed video in Hong Kong in 2017. Celine’s adventure continued as she became a fan favorite after winning a golden buzzer for her rendition of How Am I Supposed to Live Without You. Despite not making it to the finals, Celine’s performances of “When You Believe” and “How Far I’ll Go” won over both judges and audiences.

The young celebrity, who has competed in World’s Got Talent and Britain’s Got Talent, still names her younger sister Dion in honor of Celine Dion and shares her passion for her music with her family.
