Days of Our Lives actor Carson Boatman and his wife, Julana Dizon, have welcomed their first child together.
The married soap opera stars revealed that on Monday, December 18, their beautiful baby daughter, Ava Rey, was born in Los Angeles.
In a joint Instagram post on Friday night, the couple shared the good news and the name of their baby girl.
The new parents said, “Christmas arrived early this year,” in their caption. “We are incredibly in love with our adorable baby girl, Ava Rey, and we are excited to see what this next phase of life will hold for the three of us.”
The couple had already made their pregnancy public on social media during the summer.

After taking their baby girl home from the hospital and spending time with her, the photos showed Carson and Julana grinning.
On the same day, they spoke to People about how they felt that something was “missing” from their lives until they became parents and welcomed their child into the world.
After being married in 2021, the pair declared that they are “over the moon” about the new family member.
“It truly feels like we’ve found something we didn’t even know we were missing in our lives,” the new parents told the newspaper.
“The only way I can think of to describe it is pure joy, but it’s really something more than that,” they added.
“It is a blessing and a source of humility to have been chosen to be Ava’s parents,” they continued. “Love has multiplied tenfold, but sleep is now in short supply.”
The two were very open about the special meaning behind their daughter’s name.
They said that Rey, Ava’s middle name, is a tribute to Julana’s late father, Reynaldo Dizon, who passed away from lung cancer just one month ago.
The pair, who got married in 2021, talked about their joy at having a new family member and the special meaning behind their daughter’s name on Friday.
After taking their baby girl home from the hospital and spending time with her, Carson and Julana were seen grinning in the photos.
The soon-to-be parents announced their pregnancy on Instagram back in August.
In an adorable picture, the pair leaned in for a kiss while grinning widely as Julana displayed sonogram pictures of their unborn kid.
“Three-person party, boatman!” Carson said their child was “coming December 2023” in his amusing caption.
Following a shakeup at his soap opera Days of Our Lives, when co-executive producer Albert Alarr departed the show due to sexual misconduct charges and a petition signed by 25 cast members calling for his termination, Julana and Carson are happy.
It’s unclear if the color scheme was meant to allude to the child’s sex, which was not depicted in the image, but the two lovers were noticeably wearing blue.
Carson wore a blue shirt and gray tights, while Julana looked gorgeous in a sleeveless royal blue dress with a white band around her tummy.
She placed a hand on the back of his neck and raised one leg while Carson held it up with his hand so she could lean in and kiss him.
IMDb states that Carson’s most well-known role to date as an actor is from his 189 Days of Our Lives episodes, but his wife has also recently been involved with a rival soap series.
Earlier this year, Julana appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful, despite her well-known status as a model.
It was fitting that she was chosen to play a model.
In 2016, Carson and Julana met in Los Angeles thanks to a gym trainer they both had, whom Boatman called a “matchmaker.”
He told People, “And everything else is history.”
The sincere remark was released almost two weeks following the married couple’s happy social media posts on their second wedding anniversary.
After he lifted his wife up on his back, Carson shared a slow-motion video of her bending forward to kiss him while still in her wedding gown.
