One woman claims that while she was momentarily dead, she had the incredible experience of traveling to both heaven and hell.
The woman, acting as a messenger, spoke of her “unbearable” afterlife experience and forewarned those who “don’t change their ways” about the awful place they will spend forever in.
During a routine check-up in 2019, Charlotte Holmes’ cardiologist gave her some shocking news.
During the appointment, her blood pressure increased to 234/134, which is much higher than the normal reading of 120/80, which indicates a hypertensive crisis.
After being told she was “not going home,” Charlotte, a native of Wichita, Kansas, was admitted to the hospital “to get that blood pressure down.”
“It must come down,” her heart doctor stated. “You’re having another stroke or you’re about to have a heart attack.”
The elderly woman was placed in a room and hooked up to an IV in an effort to relax the blood vessels and reduce the strain on her heart.
Danny, her spouse of over 50 years, sat with her, watching as medical personnel cared for his wife.
“They immediately called this code, and everyone rushed in and they just started working on her,” recalls Danny. It seems to me that I’m concerned about whether I’ll be able to bring her home at all.
Danny continues by saying that his wife started talking about “the flowers.”
“Well, after looking around, I saw that room was devoid of flowers. I knew she wasn’t on this planet when it happened.
Following then, Charlotte’s heart stopped beating, and she and her husband thought she was clinically dead for the next eleven minutes.
“I surpassed my physical form.” “I could see Danny standing in the corner,” Charlotte recounts of her “out of body experience.”[Danny] had pulled back. I could see every nurse in the area. After then, I opened my eyes.
I admired the beauty that around me. The trees and grass were visible to me. And everything was trembling to the music. I cannot tell you how heaven looks since it is so much above our greatest conceptions.
“There is no fear,” the woman continues, adding that angels guided her into “heaven.” Unadulterated happiness is how it feels. When the angels take charge, there is no fear. It is such a joy to be coming home.
She continues by claiming that she was reunited with her deceased family members: “I saw my mom.” My father was there. There was my sister. Behind me were members of my family.
Charlotte then recalls that she became blinded by what she saw next.
The light behind my parents was brilliant. I couldn’t look at it. So wise. But I knew it was [God]. I noticed a toddler. And I remember thinking, “Who is this?” She was told it was her child after miscarrying some decades ago when she was roughly six months pregnant.
“I remember them holding up the baby and saying, ‘Charlotte, it’s a boy. Then he was gone. So when I saw this toddler, I asked myself, “God, how is that possible?” “In heaven, they continue to grow,” he claims. Time, however, is of the essential. Forever. My child, our child, is now a toddler after 48 years.
Regretfully, her journey did not finish there.
Her guide, whom she refers to as “God,” revealed one more thing to her.
God took me to the edge of hell, where I looked down and smelt rotting flesh. It cries and smells like that,” she says, describing the horrifying scene. “After seeing the beauty of heaven, the contrast of seeing hell is almost unbearable.”
Charlotte claims that she was given the vision to warn of the horrors of hell to those who “do not change their ways.”
She heard the words, “This is where they shall reside and share,” before being instructed to return to her body.
Eleven minutes later, Charlotte finally woke up and talked about feeling like she was being drawn back into her body. I felt agony now where I hadn’t before. I felt the sorrow.
Her spouse remarks, “I knew then I was going to get to bring [her] home,” after observing that she was blinking.
Once she was well, Charlotte continued to tell her story of heaven and hell until she passed away on November 28, 2023, at the age of 72.
She leaves behind her husband of fifty-two years, her daughter Chrystal Holmes Meek, two granddaughters, and one great-grandchild.
In a heartfelt tribute to his wife, Danny posts on Facebook, “It is so hard for me to give this beautiful little lady up after 52 years of an amazing life.”After she died in 2019, God called her home and gave her a glimpse of heaven, which completely changed her life.She’s finished her adventure.
Charlotte had earlier said, “I can look you in the eye and tell you for sure, heaven is real.”
