For today’s older couple, giving their grandchildren gifts for the holidays was already something of a ritual. But this year, something went wrong, leading the grandparents to wonder if the kids actually needed gifts or not.
The 67-year-old couples were shocked to hear of Townes’ incident involving selling snacks at school and Emaline’s racial remarks that caused her to hesitate. The couple, who has seven grandchildren, sees them frequently and values their contributions to their lives.
They decided not to give the siblings any holiday gifts, nevertheless, after they began to get accusations about them going too far. Turning away from the grandparents, everyone began to make them feel bad for acing «fair».
Their two grandkids were eagerly awaiting Christmas gifts, thus this was perceived as a callous move.
