Many students find themselves at a loss for things to do during their spare time during summer break.
While some teenagers choose to work during the summer, others enroll in summer programs or take trips with their parents.
However, West Virginian Ellie Yeater, 14, knew just what she wanted to accomplish with her summer.
She would use her time to realize her ambition of turning an outdated camper into a lovely gathering spot for her friends.
And what was the final outcome? All the accolades in the world are due to this girl.PARTNER

Ellie Yeater, then 14 years old, made the decision to totally restore a 1974 camper over the summer of 2016.
She transformed it into a lovely place she could call her own, paying for it with birthday money.

It was going to require a lot of work to fix up the inside.
The furniture required a complete refurbishment because it had all been neglected since the 1970s.
According to Elli’s mother Lori, it required a lot of work (Woodcraft).

However, Ellie was prepared to embark on her ideal undertaking, and she began by scraping the floors.
Expert renovators, her brother and father, were nearby to offer advice and assistance.

It was time to start decorating after the flooring had been scraped and the rot removed.
Ellie’s first wish was to have the camper painted a different color.
She painted it a stunning shade of blue called “mystic sea” since she wanted it to have her own unique flair.

It was time to address the interior now.
Ellie used aqua blue as an accent and painted it a peachy shade.

Ellie also installed a completely new floor.
The 1970s-era tiles were replaced with brand-new ones with wood patterns.

It was Ellie’s turn to bring in the décor now.
Ellie’s grandmother even started making pillows, towels, and curtains at this point.

Ellie transformed the trailer into her own exclusive retreat in a single summer; the before and after photos hardly show the camper at all.
Isn’t it amazing what a 14-year-old can do with this project? Amazing!

Ellie received support and direction from her loved ones while working on the project since they wanted to assist her with her summer project.
And of course, they had a standing invitation to see her at her camper.

“I never said to her that there was nothing she could do. She has always thought beyond the box. She shouldn’t ever feel pressured to stay inside the lines, in my opinion. Ellie’s mother Lori exclaims, “I want her to color the entire page!”

Talk about using your summer break to accomplish something worthwhile! Fantastic work, Ellie!

If you agree that Ellie deserves praise for her excellent work, please let others know!
