According to Angel Craine, 27, her son Malachi will turn five in October 2023, so she decided to throw a party to celebrate. She sent birthday party invites to her son’s classmates, thinking nothing of it and not expecting anything negative.
But two weeks later, nobody had indicated that they would be coming to the event. After Malachi sent out her invites, the mother from Australia also observed a difference in the other students.
Angel disclosed how the four-year-old’s veganism led to the rejection of her son’s party. Malachi was teased at school, she recounted, since she had a “no cow” cake.
“They’ve all teased him and threatened to leave if he doesn’t put a cow in his cake.”
Malachi’s mother disclosed that a chocolate vegan cake is in the works for the boy’s end-of-October birthday celebration. She was particularly horrified to learn that kids her son’s age were already making fun of others who followed vegan diets.

Malachi’s mother posted about her situation on the Vegans in Australia page of Facebook in an attempt to get help. She told them about her son’s predicament and mentioned that it seemed like he was being bullied a lot since he was vegan.
The mom said that because her kid made a vegan cake, none of his friends wanted to come to his party and that they were often making fun of his lifestyle decisions. Angel asked the people in the social media network whether any of them lived in Brisbane’s north side and had vegan kids.
The young woman asked whether their kids wanted to come to Malachi’s birthday celebration. Thankfully, the distressed mom received a lot of support from the social media account’s group members, who unanticipatedly came together in support of her.
